Bal d’Afrique Absolu is my perfect scent for every day. It starts off fruity with slightly citrus notes right after spraying. The opening instantly puts me in a good mood. The fruitiness feels very clear to me, not sharp or artificial but pleasantly soft.
After a while, the fragrance develops into a warmer, sweeter creamy direction. The sweetness is not heavy but rather gentle and harmonious. It gives the scent depth and makes it special.
If it weren't for the longevity.
For me, it stays rather close to the skin. The longevity is mediocre, which I find disappointing and weak given the price. On the other hand, perhaps that also makes it so suitable for everyday wear-present but not overpowering.
For me, a beautiful scent, the balance is right, uncomplicated, modern, and simply always appropriate.
