Eternal Dewy Plastic Flowers and Patchouli

Eden is a scent very much rooted in it's release date for me. It is starts with a blindingly clean mimosa note and watery fresh cascalone note, set against a powdery laundry musk and darkens a bit towards a more indistinct white floral tinged with something peppery and something plasticy.
This is all smoothed out by a significant dose of semi-dirty patchouli at the dry down. The overall effect of this unique composition is lush, dirty and clean all at once. It's also incredibly identifiable, once you know the smell of Eden you won't mistake it for anything else.

I had never heard of Eden before becoming a part of the fragrance community and assumed incorrectly that I hadn't smelled it before. Instead upon testing it I realized that this was actually pretty prevalent in my corner of the world in mid 90s and the scent is very familiar to me as the scent of many a middle school classmate. This sort of strikes me as strange in retrospect as it's a rather complex perfume for youngster but it was also very on trend for that point in time.

If you haven't tried Eden, it's worth seeking out given how unique it is. Be forewarned though that my mini bottle was incredibly strong---like Montale Black Aoud level strong---the longevity is eternal and the sillage is massive. It could be easy for this scent to overwhelm others or yourself.
