Eternity/Made in USA vs. Eternity/Made in Europe

Did you notice it too? Eternity/Made in USA smells much nicer with lily, narcissus and violet in the heart note and subtle sweetness through heliotrope in the drydown. Eternity/Made in France, Spain or Monaco is much more discordant with harsh sage/freesia notes throughout the scent. The European version unfortunately reminds me of disinfectants, only the American version could win with me

I just purchase a vintage bottle that says Made in the USA for Calvin Klein Perfumes. It is a gorgeous lily, carnation, narcissus, and violet perfume with an airy powdery heliotrope, amber, musk , and sandalwood base.

You read that every now and then on the net, I personally think it's a rumor. Both tested and they smell identical to me.

Hmmm, so my packaging just says Eternity and on the side Made in / Fabrique en France .

@Sinioerkel: Yes, there are several versions here in Germany as well. The versions made in Europe are more common, on the European packaging the fragrance is called "Eternity for women". The American version is simply called "Eternity." Happened to grab 50ml of Eternity/Made in USA at the local Rossmann earlier this week and am very happy!

I have only noticed that the scent has changed over the years. Unfortunately, he is not the only one. Certainly through reformulations. But your information is very interesting. Icch felt the original version much more lovely & warmer. What I perceived in the last bottle I bought was a slightly aquatic nuance that bothered me. I will look out for your tip soon. Thanks for the info.

I'm glad you can do something with my comment! So much has been written about Eternity, but I don't think much has been written about the differences between the American and European versions.
