Eternity Intense Calvin Klein 2016

Why this fragrance is called “Intense” is a mystery to me. I already get frustrated with all the EDTs, EDPs, L’Eaus, Intenses, Absolues, Sensuelles, Sports, Couchs, Summers, Winters….. and when we can’t think of anything else, we throw another “Rose” or some other floral version on the market… The cow just wants to be milked. But one would initially think that Intense is a stronger variant of the original. However, that is absolutely not the case here, and a completely new, different name would have been appropriate.

The fact is, this Intense has absolutely NOTHING to do with the original (which I find far too herbaceous and floral). And it has NOTHING to do with the seemingly 100 Eternity flankers. This Intense should not even be called that because it is not intense at all! It is actually a delicate, soft, sweet, and floral powder scent, which I like because I enjoy powder fragrances. However, Eternity Intense remains rather close to the skin and lasts on me for about four hours, so far from Intense…

Conclusion: If I didn’t already have so many - and also a bit prettier - powder scents, it would be a candidate for my collection despite the deceptive packaging. I wouldn’t buy it for myself, but I wouldn’t refuse it as a gift.
