I can totally relate. My first test on the wrist was really pleasant too. Unfortunately, the two times after that on my neck weren't as great. It came off quite artificial and sharp there. But I did find the DNA refreshing. Classic, yet with a twist.

Yes, I sometimes find that with fougère or fougère-like scents, they can be too sharp for me. Usually because of a very ethereal lavender. Here, it’s mainly the star anise. But the violet is also a bit too clean for me. However, the previous testers liked it a lot. So definitely give it a try when you get the chance. Maybe it will be more pleasant on your skin.

On my skin, it is very prominent and doesn't fade throughout the wear. That's why the scent annoys me. It's too sharp for my liking. From a distance, it's quite pleasant, even attractive. It leans towards the fougère direction. There's a dominant aromatic, sweet-powdery cedar. After the first test on my forearm, I had high hopes and secretly added it to my shopping list, but when I smell it up close for a long time, it unfortunately doesn't work for me.
