Ground blanched almonds meet Hubba Bubba cherry chewing gum.

After testing Rima XI and being completely blown away, I bought the sample set from Carner Barcelona and wanted to give the niche house my full attention. Of the 5 samples I was sent, Tardes Eau de Parfum really impressed me and I will definitely be buying a whole bottle in the foreseeable future.

To be honest, the fragrance opens a little chaotically. But this initial olfactory cacophony subsides very quickly, within seconds to a maximum of 2 minutes. What remains is an incredibly pleasant almond powder scent that is typically associated with ground almonds for baking. For me personally, it is (fortunately) not a bitter almond smell that we know from baking flavors or even marzipan. It is more of an almond dust or powder; very delicate, powdery, light, fluffy and a little nutty.

This almond powder is paired, at least to my nose, with a light & incredibly pleasant sweet/tart cherry note (although cherry is not listed at all). It irrevocably brings back the typical Hubba Bubba cherry chewing gum scent from my childhood! I think it's the plum that gives this great sweetness and tartness.

The whole thing is accompanied by a gentle and soft creaminess. Tonka and heliotrope make the fragrance pleasantly sweet and above all creamy. Subtle body lotion vibes come to mind. But high-quality!

For me, the fragrance is definitely more feminine. It smells powdery, creamy, yet fresh and classy! For me, the celery note is subtle in the background, but it just gives the fragrance a green freshness.

The only criticism here, at least for me, is the ridiculous longevity. On my skin, it is perceptible for 2 to at most 3 hours and then becomes almost completely "invisible". What a shame for such a great fragrance. Spraying it over and spraying it on your clothes is almost a must with this fragrance. Otherwise, it is an incredibly great, unique fragrance that suits every season and time of day.

PS: as a little tip: the Amande (almond) body lotion from L'occitane or even just the almond hand cream layered with Tardes Eau de Parfum is a pure fresh, creamy almond dream!
