CH Men Privé Carolina Herrera 2015

Hm, I must admit that I was influenced by the exorbitant rating here when purchasing this fragrance. However, anyone who writes that the performance of CH Men Privé is poor, I would like to smell with a fragrance they consider "performant"! ;-) In my opinion (sorry), only Eau de Parfum surpasses this, as I can still perceive this scent even after showering.

In the end, I feel a bit schizophrenic about CHMP. I somehow find it appealing, but olfactorily, it’s just not my league. Yes, I can indulge in a piece of Black Forest cake once or twice a year, indulge in tiramisu, or nibble on cognac chocolates, but that’s about it. I feel similarly about this and other similarly cloying and sweet fragrances. They just don’t suit me; they are too overpowering and intrusive.

It’s something you can try, and I don’t find anything really negative about this sweet-gourmand yet masculine fragrance cocktail. Normally, the sweetness of Ultraviolet Man, Boss Soul, Montblanc Presence, or Joop Thrill is more than enough for me. Because my fragrance should complement me and not overshadow me! ;-) Of course, this is always a matter of taste, but I can easily imagine someone who is enthusiastic about this in the Baroque era with a powdered face and white wig, free à la Mozart & Co.! :-)
