A Beast Lives in Your House...............

It's actually quite cheeky to write a review about such a fragrance as a late bloomer in the world of perfume. I think it's so great that I have to go through with it now.

Ernest Daltroff surely knew back then - Sex sells. Subtly, of course, with a Roman statue behind the fragrance on advertising posters or an attractive pilot on the Avion poster. And when you look at old pictures of him online, yes, the man was cunning, he knew his business. He appears authoritative, like the teacher who keeps asking you to stand up while declaiming.

A stroke of genius for its time to incorporate pineapple into a floral fragrance. I don't want to describe the scent any further. The flowers combined with the addition of pineapple give the fragrance a slightly sour note, which makes Acaciosa incredibly attractive to me. The indolic, carrion-like quality that Ergoproxy describes is something I find great. Since I recently had the chance to test Top Shelf, I would compare it to that, this scent of slightly carrion-like floral water. I thought it was lily, but here it will be ylang and/or jasmine. For me, it is not animalistic in the sense of musk/animal, but rather dirty, as Tabla aptly describes in her statement about dirty animality. Yes, that's exactly how Acasiosa smells. Dirty in an incredibly appealing way that turns me on.

My feeling about this fragrance is well described in the song by Peter Fox,

................................Because it hides under your skin
And you know it wants to come to light
The cage door slowly opens and there it shows itself:
The second face
A beast lives in your house
You lock it up, it breaks out
The same game every day
From the playpen to the grave
A beast lives in your house
You lock it up, it breaks out
It comes through every door
It lives with you and with me

Perfect description! I love my beast - most of the time - and sometimes it surprises me :-) Trophy for Beauty and the Beast :-)

Yes, Peter Fox is amazing. We let go of our fear when we look the beast within us in the face, gently embrace it, and whisper, "Did you lead me here...?" and it smiles softly.........
Great review of an immortal fragrance that I keep trusting anew.

Cool review! But when it comes to pineapple and indolic, I'm out...

Great comment! I was a bit skeptical about the pineapple at first, but this scent really sounds wonderful and very expressive.

I think it's indolic jasmine that makes up this note. Unfortunately, I can't handle it.
