Endless Security

A few weeks ago, when I read Medusa's comment on Infini, my curiosity about all Caron fragrances was awakened. The bottles, which have such a wonderfully old-fashioned vibe, had already caught my eye in a nearby perfumery, but I hadn't tested any until then.

Unfortunately, I can only say that, because the very next day I visited the store and immediately fell into the hands of a true sales gem. She tended to her four niche shelves and the fragrances contained within them with so much affection and passion, like I had never experienced before. Caron and Molinard seemed to be her favorite brands despite all the other niche wonders. After 10 minutes of fragrance consultation, she had sprayed six scent strips with Caron and Molinard for me. On my left wrist, Infini made it, while on my right was a lovely fragrance from Molinard, which, however, stood no chance against the infinity of Caron - as I would soon realize.

Already on the way home, I felt embraced by an endless security; I couldn't stop sniffing my left wrist over and over again. This scent is something you can lean on; it carries you somehow through the day. The next morning, it was then mine.

Describing the scent is difficult for me. It is so beautiful that it almost eludes description. It is like a small, simple, ever-blooming bouquet of flowers that accompanies you all day long. There is nothing synthetic, nothing artificial, nothing superficial about it. No, there is no fragrance cloud that envelops you; with Infini, something entirely different happens, its scent DNA connects with mine in a way that is new to me. The fragrance slips into me and uplifts me from within. It leads me to my innermost core.

There are fragrances that show you who you are not. Infini shows you who you are, what you can do, what lies dormant within you. Security, strength, warmth, light, fire, all that is within us, often hidden and undiscovered beneath the surface. Accessing this inner treasure is not so easy. For me, it once took a two-week Ayurvedic vacation crowned with a forehead oil treatment or a particularly relaxing meditation. And now, recently, Infini.

This is the only fragrance that I sniff daily and can feel infinitely secure, infinitely calm, and infinitely free afterward; I don't even have to wear it for that.

Infini is more than a fragrance. I won't let it go.
