Addition: I actually find the 60s version to be brighter, rosier, lighter, and overall more straightforward and objective than the older version. The clove is just as beautiful. I prefer the older version.

Simply wonderful. Not just the musk and the carnation, but also this leathery-anise base with the perfect dose of vanillin. (That must be the Mousse-de-Saxe.) It's such a shame what has become of Caron... I'm referring to the EdC from the 50s. (I still need to test the one from the 60s. I would expect more rose and cinnamon in that one.) I actually find this EdC even more intense and challenging, not as soft-floral compared to the 50s EdT. A thousand thanks for this experience!
