Scottish Cleaning Product

My goodness, what a stuff! Keig is pure lemon at first - strong and sour. Lemon? Bergamot? Whatever it is - one might think of Mr. Clean and suspect a whole chemistry set. But somehow it doesn’t come across as too unnatural.

The lemon is bright yellow with a hint of green. Some herbal notes, resins, ferns, and moss may have been used here, even though they are not listed in the fragrance pyramid. And they are good! This clearly pushes the scent towards Barber Shop Style.

In the background, a slightly creaky wooden base of cedar and sandalwood blends in discreetly. However, the delicate lavender never stands a chance against the fragrance giants gathered here.

It doesn’t seem particularly long-lasting, more like Eau de Cologne strength. After half an hour, the worst is over. The scent dissipates quickly, and you only smell the wood remnants. That happened very fast!

I know there are fans of such things. I am not one of them.

Yes, I find hospital hygiene very understandable! Right now, I'm sniffing at the spray area. The wood notes are already gone, so now there should be a soapy-clean "hospital musk" left. I can see now that it was probably there from the very beginning.

I recently had the chance to test it again. The scent strongly reminds me of hospital hygiene, but not in an unpleasant way. It's actually quite well done. I almost bought it, but then I realized I probably would never wear it.

Absolutely, you're right with your assessment, Apicius! Shame on me, but I love this (relatively natural) dish soap. During today's test, I almost dismissed it, but then it clicked (or "Keig"?) and I was hooked.
