Pure Brilliance Celine Dion 2010

Now it smiles at us from everywhere again. In many drugstores, there is currently a floor display featuring the new fragrance from the Canadian singer. Pure Brilliance certainly has an appropriate name.

The scent literally jumps at me with a glaring green fruity top note. But anyone expecting softer notes to unfold afterwards will quickly realize that the - at least for me - aggressive cheerfulness also prevails in the heart note. The honeysuckle is so loud that the lily of the valley hardly makes an impression. The bright woods, vaguely perceptible as a light powderiness, can hardly soften the overall impression.

Pure Brilliance is too dazzling for me; a few fewer spotlights would have been completely sufficient.
