My Glutamate Among Fragrances
AHSEE is what I now call this fragrance for short, which deserved a better name than that of the umpteenth Allure flanker. Normally, I also tend to stay away from the offshoots of a classic among fragrances, but amusingly, I like all the sidekicks of Allure better than the original.
The Sport edition is (to put it briefly) fresher, the Edition Blanche creamier, and this one here sweeter, but completely within the range of what I still enjoy as sweet. It is still labeled "Sport." Whether that is justified or not, others may judge. I would dare to say that the original Allure is somehow too floral for me at the start and only reveals its true strength quite late.
Anyway, this is about AHSEE, or rather, not only, because I actually stumbled upon a kind of fragrance twin with CK One Red Edition For Him. This one hits the same note, namely fresh-sweet. In the drydown, it is at least identical to this one for my nose, although a bit weaker on the chest.
Such things will always exist, and it's not a bad thing, maybe even good! :-) Unfortunately, there aren't many fragrances that can maintain a fresh sweetness over time, as usually the sugary-vanilla notes take over at the end. This is different here, as the universally popular tonka bean at the end isn't quite such a sweetie, and mint and pepper never let themselves be overshadowed!
Thus, AHSEE is a fragrance for every occasion that I can recommend without hesitation, even for the colder season when one longs for summer. And I would still prefer every Allure flanker over the trendy Bleu de Chanel! ;-)

Flankers are sometimes so unique that they deserve a new name. Since we humans are creatures of habit, companies might just not want to risk launching a completely new product too often.
