Sometimes "less" is more!

After 2 years of Parfumo, I thought I had already said goodbye to the so-called mainstream or designer fragrances.
But just after testing the "who's who" of great, exclusive scents up and down, it is wonderful to wear something quite "simple" and uncomplicated again. Because honestly, on some (many) days, it really is "stress" for me in the morning to choose the "right" one from the many beautiful options. There's always at least one that fits even better... so 10 minutes can easily pass;-)! Do you know that feeling?
With the gray sporty scent, it's somehow different. You know it smells good... it’s well received, lasts quite well... the fragrance is just a nice finishing touch to dive into the business morning. Where otherwise the scent is absolutely essential. I had actually closed the chapter on Chanel... at the latest with Bleu de Chanel, I thought "now they are going to be just as boring as the guys from Metzingen"... quantity over quality. However, I completely liked the Allure line... I bought them all and I stuck with Allure PH the most. If autumn were knocking at the door, I would have bought it again this week after many years... I still like it a lot.
But its light freshness simply appealed to me more... especially since I am also a big fan of musk. I really like the citrusy opening with its spicy woods and a slight coolness in the background. It’s nothing excitingly new, but still more than successful. It lifts the mood a little immediately and you feel nicely scented... even if it’s a bit generic. Warm woods, a cottony musk, and a slightly sweet tonka bean just flatter the nose. Wearing such a fragrance is like a little system reset for me; you throw off all unnecessary burdens of niche complexity, development, expectations, brand image, lifestyle factor, and it’s liberating!!! Sometimes the Vienna sausages are just tastier than the truffle tagliatelle!
I feel great with this scent and my surroundings have something nice in their noses.

Conclusion: A mainstream scent that comes across very charmingly without being intrusive, a fragrance that is very pleasing but will probably never truly delight... somehow the opposite of the constant sensory overload of mega-, ultra-, giga-fragrances. Longevity of about 6 hours is okay for me... a quick re-spray during the workday is fine. The sillage is consistently above average!

Award for this passage: "Sometimes the Vienna sausages are just tastier than the truffle tagliatelle!" Because you are 1000% right about that! Top :-)

I still find it quite appealing, as long as you don't wear it too often, since it tends to become rather monotonous over time.

I'm thinking about getting this as a woman! I feel so **Chanel**-like with it, and it smells so cozy, not typical for women, yet soft! I guess I won't smell it on anyone else, and I like that! :0)

I really like it, I had to ask the wearer what it was. Amazing sillage and quite attractive!

Now I'm gradually getting curious given the range of opinions in the comments. In any case: trophy for you.
