Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusif Chanel 2025

Someone has to start... and so, after 10 years of being a member of Parfumo, I am writing my first review of this wonderful fragrance.

L'Exclusif opens very similarly to the perfume that I wear as the only scent from the line and have come to appreciate greatly. The first impression is therefore still uncomplicatedly blue and fresh. However, L'Exclusif immediately carves out its own path; a few minutes later, the fragrance feels denser and spicier - I can't identify a clear smoky or leathery note; thus, I cannot draw the often-read comparison to Lion de Chanel. The heart note then presents the star of the show: an ambered, resinous sweetness complements the woody notes. This creates a fragrance that intensifies the typical Bleu accord in a high-quality and natural way, maintaining it quite linearly over the next few hours. Those who like the EdP or perfume will find here the woody, fresh-fruity, ambered essence in its most refined form. The fragrance shows a pleasant presence on my skin: without intrusive sillage, I perceive beautiful scent clouds within my arm's length repeatedly over several hours.

The new Chanel achieves the balance between mainstream and exclusivity, between clear Bleu DNA and a standalone flanker, between darker spices, woods, and fresh notes without a shower gel association, and noble characteristic amber sweetness without vanilla/tonka synthetics. L'Exclusif feels like a successful attempt to incorporate the Bleu DNA into the Les Exclusifs niche collection. It is best suited for cooler months and (unfortunately also due to the price) for special evening occasions.
