Mademoiselle quite private?
Chanel has done it again - released another new offspring of a very well-known classic, and one wonders: when will they bring something completely new, perhaps something boldly different to our noses?
Well: fundamentally different, even very polarizing scents can be found elsewhere.
Chanel fragrances are, it seems to me, almost always and everywhere wearable. That's exactly what I like.
I wonder if this scent is a reference to the forced general retreat of this year's situation - although Chanel recommends this scent as a fragrance before going to sleep or even for bed linen.
Personally, I find my fragrances too precious to spray on bed linen - but there are different preferences in that regard.
As expected, you immediately recognize Mademoiselle upon spraying.
I smell citrusy fruitiness, the flowers, and perceive the oriental base note.
Gentler, less powdery, rather a bit creamy. Patchouli is not supposed to be in it, but I think I can detect hints of it; the fruity-chypre base character is present in L’Eau Privée as well.
The scent development is not very pronounced; the familiar scent remains in a subdued form.
But: it wouldn't be a Chanel if it didn't have longevity. It lasts for hours. Of course, one can say that you don't need it if you already have the other versions in your collection.
Personally, I like this quieter version. Perhaps it's an option for some of you if Coco Mademoiselle L’Eau Privée's sisters are too loud or too scratchy.
In my opinion, this gentler Mademoiselle can be wonderfully worn during the day for all activities or non-activities.

That sounds wonderful - and very much like a gift for my mother-in-law, who followed a woman wearing Mademoiselle across town years ago just to ask her what she was wearing, :-). Nowadays, she prefers something softer and more private - thanks for the fantastic tip!

I also think the scent is wonderful, especially because it's subtle and can be worn anywhere without being too overpowering :)

To be precise, this is actually a flanker of a flanker: Coco Mademoiselle was already a flanker of Coco. I never really got along with Mademoiselle, but "creamy" does sound appealing.

I hope that "Le Lion de Chanel" will be something completely new. I don't know labdanum from Chanel.
