First fruity, then floral, and in the end too bulky (EDIT: 07.08.2024)
Next up is another vintage miniature: Now it's time for "L'Insolent (Eau de Toilette) | Charles Jourdan." I actually found this quite pleasant at first, but in the end, the scent became too earthy for me, almost musty. The longevity is impressive at 9 to 11 hours, and the sillage is also convincing.
The top note starts off very fruity-sweet-citrusy thanks to bergamot, mandarins, pineapple, peach, and blackcurrants. The heart note offers a sea of flowers consisting of ylang-ylang, jasmine blossoms, tuberose, garden carnations, and lily of the valley. Thanks to coriander, it also has a slightly greenish scent with a hint of spiciness. The base smells both resinous-woody-oriental with cedar and rosewood, but also very earthy and root-like with oak moss and patchouli.
Unfortunately, I can't detect any vanilla notes; perhaps they have faded due to the age of my miniature.
EDIT 07.08.2024: I came across another miniature, and this one was much sweeter, more harmonious, and still very beautiful towards the end. I would describe the top note as quite jam-like. I have accordingly adjusted my rating significantly upwards.
