Très Jourdan Charles Jourdan 1992 Eau de Toilette

When testing "Très Jourdan" the memory assaults me with power. This pretty miniature contains years of my life, which I spent - looking back - light-footed and full of curiosity about everything that presented itself to me.
Oh, it's been a long time!

How many pairs of shoes of this brand accompanied me through this time, is no longer to count. Rarely did I come back from the KaDeWe without a new red box with snappy contents.
Drove me not my own curiosity in this small, a boutique-like niche in front of one of the large shop windows, so it was a call from the lovely saleswoman, who once again had a suitable offer ready for me.
She was one of those who kept records of her customers' preferences in a little booklet and could thus react accordingly.
Of course, I had to look at what was announced over the phone and usually a new pair of pumps or sandals accompanied me home: she just knew what I liked.

It is therefore amazing that I got to know this charming fragrance only now through a miniature collection, which sent me a particularly dear Parfuma.
What great pleasure she thereby made me, she was certainly not even aware.

So I slip in my mind in my beloved white sandals with the fine leather straps, the small platform and the high slender heel; both covered with fabric, on which was the pattern ribbon from the Flacon: Fleet looked that!
And just by a few droplets of this sunny liquid I am transported back to the lightness and fullness of the eighties and especially their fragrance creations.
How far away is now the "flower woman" that I once was and how alive she looks at me cheerfully winking over my shoulder while writing, as if she wanted to ask: Do you remember?

"Très Jourdan" is, despite its abundance of fragrance notes, filled with the lightness of summer.
A dance through a flower garden, the filled fruit basket in hands and I am already butterfly-light floated around by rich fruity-floral fragrance veils.
Because very quickly mix citrus and raspberry fruit notes, ripe and plump, with the flower beauties of the classic summer garden.
This includes, almost as a matter of course, the senses already sometimes almost numbing "white stinkers" (O-Ton: Meggi!) Lily of the valley and jasmine together with the no less shy tuberose.
Caution: white flower alert!!
The small violets with their friendly faces join them and the noble roses complete this floral fragrance magic.
All this combines gracefully and harmoniously, before as a highlight warm, somewhat animalic musky vanilla with a slight cedar accent shows up and so finally invites you to linger.

"Très Jourdan" is a typical fragrance creature of its time, which sprays its magic generously and full of charming cheerfulness.
Yes, this fragrance composition shines, even if surprisingly lacks the addition of aldehydes, typical at the time.

Sillage and durability of the eau de toilette are summery light, but still rich, expressive and of French elegance.
It also does not need more to be an enchanting companion.

Too bad actually, that I get to know this fragrance being only now. But it comes again a summer and thus our time!
