Cheerful to "Berry"...
Early summer! A garden near a large body of water. The first fruits are already ripe:
Black currants. Shiny blue-black. Slightly tart, with a delicious aroma and very juicy. The last, late daffodils are still blooming. Cheerful scents of floral and spicy freshness. By the pond behind the bushes, the deep blue of irises glimmers. Lined with "water grasses" that love to grow at the damp edge. Powdery-floral and "green-grassy" summer aromas galore!
But the nights are often still quite cool! Just right for the long, delicate gray-green moss drapes that grow on the branches of the gnarled, ancient oak. Its trunk already shows "age wrinkles" in the bark, with some sap oozing out and smelling aromatic! Exactly the right "olfactory partner" for the other delightful scents of this garden.
The days are cheerful to cloudy, with an occasional brief shower. Then the currants smell particularly aromatic. And of course everything else does too.
Floral-cheerful, temptingly "berry," finely mossy.
And with the "right wind direction," even slightly "aquatic" scents from the nearby large lake join in. Delicate-cool and moist! Delightful early summer at its finest!
