SeeByChloé Chloé 2012

On a Saturday in the summer of 2013, I was out shopping with my then-colleague. She is a few years younger than me (almost half my age :-) around 20, and we get along really well. It's interesting that when we are out together, there are people who think we are sisters *happy* or that I am her mother (well, a somewhat muted *happy* although it could be possible, and if so, I would love to have a daughter like her.. :-)

Of course, a thorough shopping tour always includes a stop at a fragrance shop, and she convinced me to try SeeByChloé. I looked at the bottle, really very pretty and elegant... Ah, memories of the good old Chloé that I loved for so long come flooding back! However, the memory quickly faded when I allowed myself a spritz. Oh nice! Fresh and cheerful, perfectly matching the hot summer we had back then, and I bought it. At that time, I really used it often, even though it didn't necessarily fit into my preferences. But it doesn't matter, one more or less that doesn't fit in there...

Today, almost 2 years later, I wanted to give it another try. I still like the opening, the fresh apple blossom with a hint of bergamot wakes me up in the morning, I feel fresh and it brings out the good mood in me. You can't say anything against its longevity; it lasts about 5 to 6 hours on me. The only thing is that the base notes don't come through at all for me; it leaves a fine veil of ylang-ylang with a touch of jasmine before it fades away. It definitely doesn't become "moldy" on me. What bothers me more now than back then is the synthetic aftertaste. For me, it is, or was, a "one-season scent," but still not so bad, and on hot days, I will surely take it out for a spin :-).
