Surprise from LA
I'm not much of a storyteller, so I'll just start rambling :o) The scent was included as a sample with my "Fueled Up" order.
At the beginning, Oud and Vetiver are clearly separated, while a pleasantly subtle leather note lingers in the background. Fortunately, the Oud does not have a medicinal touch; instead, it is buttery soft, and the Vetiver comes across as nicely fresh-sweet - overall, very pleasant.
After a few minutes, a delicious note emerges that slightly resembles Amaretto, but it doesn't become annoying. This note slowly retreats towards the heart, while Oud and Vetiver increasingly come closer together until they ultimately merge completely. A very light smoky note joins in, which integrates very well into the overall picture.
And so the scent remains until the base, gradually breaking down in a linear fashion. The longevity on my skin, given the current summer temperatures, is about 9 hours. In my opinion, the sillage could be a bit stronger - it's not more than an arm's length, although I only applied a very small amount (1 spray), and one often can't assess that 100% accurately themselves.
