An answer to the question: Can a perfume comprising only pink notes be produced?

Clarins PAR AMOUR TOUJOURS oddly removes the sandalwood from its predecessor and namesake and injects a hefty dose of grapefruit into the mix. I don't want to go too deeply into the incoherent marketing concept here--pictures of small children abound--but suffice it to say, sticking strictly to the quality of the juice, that this flanker is definitely NOT an improvement on the original.

The very citrusy edp opens with a bright burst of grapefruit, similar to when you squirt yourself in the eye while eating one, but quickly and intermittently morphs into something redolent of Lemon Pledge--perhaps an illusion caused by the pink pepper-currant-grapefruit combo?

In the end, in the drydown, I do detect far more rose here than in PAR AMOUR. As other reviewers have remarked, the staying power of this edt is pretty weak--just to throw another contradiction into mix: PAR AMOUR TOUJOURS (not)...

The one thing this perfume is consistently is pink.

Par Amour Quelquefois doesn't sound as poetic, though, am I right?
