Dipped briefly in oak moss…a 90's quasi-aquat that vaguely reminds me of New West. What a shame about the beautiful bottle.

In the tradition of their beautiful soaps, they stay true to themselves..

The 90s scents aren't my favorites either.

No, at least for me, it's not a good decade either :)

I would have expected a more robust fougère with hay.

It's not sharp or bitter at all, and there's no aquatic vibe like in Acqua di Gio or anything similar. It's more like the first attempts at aquatic scents with a strange fruity hint... it might be the hay note.

There's no excitement about it.

Unfortunately not, quite disappointing.

Aquatic?? Really? I don't get that at all, but noses can be so different!… I actually like it, been in my collection for a long time.

Got it! I’m not sure if you know the green "Classic" as well, but it really is the "Classic," just as you described from the line! I've had "Wild Fern" from a sharing in the house for a while, and it's very similar. The "Oak Moss" is indeed very soapy.

The hay note probably gives it that "modern mainstream" fruity aquatic vibe for me. I was just expecting a much more classic scent, bitter, woody, and green...something like that...sorry for the late response.

I wouldn't have expected this direction from the brand. Too bad.

During the first test, I immediately thought of New West; the scent isn't a classic in the "old" sense, unfortunately.

Hmm, those are good references...

I meant the scent New West by Aramis; it came to mind during my first test. It has a somewhat diffuse fruity note... at least that's how I would describe it :-)
