Skin [Intense] Clean 2025

I never blind buy, but I love the original Clean Reserve Skin and was almost finished with my bottle, so I took a risk & bought a full size of Skin [Intense]. That being said, I’m disappointed with how Clean launched this flanker. Why can’t we buy a travel size or sample in store? Clean advertises cleaner, more thoughtful fragrance & from an environmental and consumer standpoint, that felt lame. I rated the bottle 2 stars because of that. The bottle itself is heavy and nice, but the cap feels pretty cheap.

Now onto the fragrance itself.

Wow. I’m absolutely in love.

I don’t like gourmands, they tend to smell gross on my skin chemistry. Based on reviews I was worried this would lean too sweet or dessert like, but it doesn’t. It’s a deep, musky caramel-y vanilla with a soft sweetness that feels grown and comforting rather than edible. The salty slightly synthetic note reallyyyy shines through, which I personally adore. Give me all the synthetics.

TBH It smells like a hug from a hot girl in a cozy sweater. I’m half tempted to buy a backup bottle so I can delay the inevitable heartbreak of using this up.

The sillage & longevity are above average without being overpowering, which is what I prefer. It lingers beautifully but doesn’t fill the room. I think it’s suitable for all seasons but maybe not when it’s blazing hot.
Despite my frustration with how Clean released this, the scent itself completely won me over. Thankfully my (hopefully) only blind buy was a huge success.
