Minimalist and still smells so good!
I bought my bottle of Taxi for less than $10 USD. I had heard several praises on this particular fragrance on a couple of other forums, and perfume blogs. I have heard it likened to being a skeletal version of masculines like Drakkar Noir. I can see that resemblance, but I think it also stands on its own merits.

The fragrance may be minimalist...I do get some light citrus in addition to the notes listed above...but it is a good thing in this case. It's a budget fragrance that actually uses good ingredients. So, while the sticker price is cheap, the smell is comfortable and a bit elegant. Scent strength is moderate, drying down to a soft woody, lightly leathery tobacco fragrance. Quite nice.

Longevity on this one is incredibly good. I still had a soft skin scent 12 hours into my wearing...nothing heavy, but still noticeable.

Overall I think it's a great value, if you can live without the typical blast of top notes. The drydown on this fragrance is where the beauty lies, and I give it a strong 8 out of 10. Incredible value.

In the Neon Taxi to the 80s
Greed remains cool - so why not release an even cheaper copy of already inexpensive fragrances? This could apply to Taxi, which is a sort of double of the famous Drakkar Noir. I don’t mind this tactic; it’s an absolutely good scent & an alternative for those on a very tight budget (10€/100ml) - but even though I couldn't hesitate: wouldn’t you rather buy the original? With Creeds or Amouages, good cheapie alternatives are welcome & provide some relief for the original bottles so they don’t empty out so quickly - but here? Well, whatever.

I also haven’t smelled DN in too long to determine how similar they are - but from memory, it’s enormous. Taxi comes across on my skin as a bit more synthetic, flatter & especially sweeter, also reminiscent of Adventure & Caesars Men. I even recognize parallels to Feeling Men - but when so many not-so-similar memories come together, the scent might just be independent enough... It’s as if you make soap out of green gummy bears in a chemistry lab, and then run it through a briefly worn men's underwear - sounds gross, but it’s actually an interesting, rarely smelled combination today. Anise + Lavender + Musk are probably the driving forces here. A very sweet, young fougere with a barbershop feeling. Masculine, 80s, almost in neon colors. I much prefer sweet soaps like Prada Amber Pour Homme & therefore, Taxi will surely share the fate of Caesars Men & will be sold/given away.

Bottle: beautifully ugly
Sillage: solid - sweet fougere, not a powerhouse
Longevity: doesn’t really reflect its price - 7 hours.

Conclusion: a good alternative for fans of Drakkar Noir, Caesars Palace & Co. - but personally, I’m not so keen on this direction anymore... maybe I really need to test Drakkar Noir again!

"Drakkar Noir" Clone
Well, in a blind test, I would find it hard to distinguish between these two fragrances. From start to finish, they smell the same to me, although "Taxi" doesn't quite have the same longevity. Now, "Taxi" is even cheaper than "Drakkar Noir," but also significantly harder to find.

Anyone who has one of the two doesn't need the other. However, if you don't have either, you can confidently start with "Taxi." Of course, it's strong and healthy, with rosy cheeks, you can't go wrong with that...

Blindbuyer U20. Vol.1
The wide world of discount fragrances has once again captivated me.
And, the deeper I dive into this world, the more I am confirmed that the real bargains are hidden here.

Let's get started, let's dive in.
What is hidden behind a decently made, but not applause-earning packaging and bottle is nothing less than a well-crafted Fougère. And indeed a dry one, starting off with a strong spiciness, where the juniper flourishes.
Unfortunately, the pyramid here does not distinguish the processes, but interestingly, the lavender takes on the dry spicy drydown, supported by the oakmoss, which is also pleasingly found in the ingredient list on the packaging.
Based on the year of release and the presentation, I would have never expected a dry, classic, yes, quite "dated" scent. For me, the fragrance is in a completely wrong bottle; classic white glass with a violet printed paper label would have been more appropriate.

We gladly pay for the ride, get out again, and look back.

No, we were not cheated here; a well-made old-school scent has accompanied us.
Unfortunately, its projection is only average; it is indeed a bit reserved, and I had expected more when looking at the year of release. And here lies the point where I pondered for a long time whether to give it 70 or 80%.
I then decided on 80, which I base on the fact that nothing stands in the way of a generous spraying spree. The price for entry is just under €10, exactly €9.88.

In my opinion, anyone who likes Drakkar Noir but might not want to wear it due to its pronounced presence in summer should reflexively consider adding this offer to their cart and include the taxi for the next order for just under €10.

Addendum: One thing should still be mentioned; I personally don't care much about bottles, everything could come in a standard glass bottle for all I care, but with Taxi, the sprayer is rarely good. I can even distribute it with a 1/4 sprayer...

Smells to me like the good old white aftershave balm from Nivea. And for hardly more than a short trip... best price/performance ratio ever!
