strange fruit compote

Compote, this is a very popular dish here in the North during summer. Compote with milk, compote with vanilla sauce. Red compote with ice cream as dessert... ah, there are so many variations.

But what wafts towards me here is a completely chaotic mix of flowers, fruits, and something really "perfumey".

Here, the cook simply threw everything into the pot that the kitchen had to offer and probably wanted to create something very special.

And it succeeded - but in a negative sense.

As for the scent itself, I can only say it feels unbalanced to me - not harmonious.
On one hand, it has something distinctly fruity, but also quite a bit of floral notes. Added to that is the aforementioned perfumey aspect, a mixture of something sharp and scratchy that I really do not like.

The longevity is worth noting positively; even after washing my hands, the scent is still noticeable.

However, I do not feel transported to the Caribbean at all.

Instead, the scent reminds me of the smell of shower stalls in swimming pools, a bit of Duschdas, a bit of Balea, Nivea, a little bit of everything, and on top of that, the scent of disinfectant hangs in the air.

Now I need to take a deep sniff of my coffee can.

That sounds like a really mediocre scent thing. I'll leave you an espresso.
