Vanille Banane Comptoir Sud Pacifique 2003

This was exactly what I wanted it to be - the smell of artificial banana flavor. I hate real bananas but banana Runts? Yum. I actually think this smells less synthetic than those types of candies. It's kind of like of a banana Runt turned into a real banana. There is a wee bit of peel in here. At first spray I thought this was a must-buy for me but the banana note is a top note that is gone within the hour. I find myself topping it off all day just to get another hit.

What's left is a comforting but unremarkable vanilla fragrance. I always enjoy the vanilla base in this brand's fragrances. It's warm and inoffensive and doesn't have that odd, sharp alcohol-like smell that some vanilla fragrances have. But vanilla is everywhere and I wish the note that makes this fragrance unique would stick around for longer. This is on my want list but it also is not at the top because even though it's affordable I don't know if I can justify the price if I only love the fragrance for 30 minutes and then just like it for the rest of the time.
