I can only agree with Biggitita. I have been searching for this perfume for a long time and have now read that it is no longer being produced. It is very sad. For me, it was a wonderful scent. Irreplaceable!

It was the early 80s - I got on the bus to go to school and a wonderful scent hit my nose, and I sniffed around to find out where it was coming from. I found a girl from whom the scent emanated. I had to know what it was and asked the girl. She told me, and I scraped together all my pocket money and bought this fragrance as pure perfume. There was really very little in the bottle, and it cost a small fortune - you wouldn’t think so - it wasn’t Dior, but just Margret Astor. But I’m glad I bought the perfume because the scent doesn’t really come through with the Eau de Toilette. Now I had my own bottle, and I guarded it very carefully. You really only needed a little of it, and so I managed with the bottle for quite a while. But then all the musk fragrances from Nerval came out, and I started using those. But when I think of the scent today, I know that I haven’t owned anything better since. When I wanted to buy a new bottle, unfortunately, production had already been discontinued, and I was out of luck. With the rest in the bottle, I went to a perfume shop and wanted to buy a similar scent. The saleswoman said that Shalimar comes closest to the scent. Shalimar has a resemblance to Scheherezade - but not much more, and I couldn’t warm up to Shalimar at all. To this day, Scheherezade is the best fragrance for autumn/winter for me. And unfortunately, my bottle is empty...
