The stars over the Arabian desert were shining particularly bright tonight, just
like they haven't in a long time. This was due to the clear air coming from the Red Sea onto the mainland.
Tonight was the night from Friday to Saturday, and on these nights there were especially
many guests at the "Leyeli," which means "The Nights."
The musicians were setting up their instruments.
The dancers Aida and Nabila walked barefoot from the washroom to the dressing room.
Both had already put on their dance costumes.
Cherry, the youngest belly dancer, was just getting a new belt.
Tonight was her first solo, and she was nervous, rolling her big
eyes and fanning herself with cool air.
She was sweating; outside it was still almost 30 degrees, the air was extremely warm.
Nothing helped!!!! Water was running down her back.
The Leyeli was a hastily erected raw construction.
The walls were made of simple bricks, and to cover them, large colorful fabrics with wild red and yellow patterns were hanging everywhere.
The side walls were made of woven reed mats.
And so, the guests did not see the unfinished walls.
But THAT didn't interest anyone here.
The main thing was that the music was loud enough!!!!
A few speaker systems about a meter high were set up at the front of the stage.... and when Ahmed Salah, the owner, came onto the stage, all the guests were personally welcomed.
Ahmed then sent greetings to the families and sometimes brought the children onto the stage to dance. The parents clapped enthusiastically.
There was no floor! Everywhere was sand, and on top of that, Ahmed had laid reed mats and large Arabic carpets.
In front of the entrance, a Berber tent was pitched. There stood a white goat, chewing on cabbage leaves.
Yes, tonight was a beautiful night, what more do you want to know, man?
The stars were shining, a cool breeze, and a good cigarette.
Ahmet inhaled the smoke.
Every day he smoked two packs. So what.............................
who could forbid him.
From the other side of the tent, a sharp smell of charcoal
wafted towards the entrance. The helpers Ahmed had temporarily hired
were preparing the water pipes and sorting the tobacco.
Some of the guests were fishermen and mostly came by to smoke.
Ahmed Salah had assigned them a special place.
The fishermen were staring too much at the behinds of Aida and Nabila.
And both women had complained loudly and strongly.
Nabila had caused a huge argument.
And who could stand up to such a woman!
Ahmed had no chance at all.
He was dependent on the dancers; they really fueled his business.
The small room where the women changed and took breaks between dances
was in the back corner of the whole venue.
No helpers or guests were welcome there; it was taboo.
The room was filled with a smoky scent of cinnamon and incense.
But not always........... often it smelled of floral scents and dark
amber or roses. Fragrance description: A very full-bodied, heavy rose scent, spiced with a tiny pinch of nutmeg and orange blossoms and orange peel and sandalwood.
Rounded off with amber. Dark and spicy beautiful,... for the evening. Fragrance twins are: Panthere by Cartier and Scherrer 2 by J. Luis Scherrer.
(Baiser du Dragon by Cartier)
A trophy for your imagination! The name "Le Yeli" would suit the scent well, or "Dark Fire," as DarkMystery suggested. If you like good dupes, you should definitely try this fragrance.
