Very underwhelming in 2022
The first Creed I have tried. After initial application I felt like this may be a good perfume for a sophisticated, successful woman. Unfortunately I am an unsophisticated, modest man.
Notes here all seem accurate, but any top notes seem to disappear in seconds. After 30 minutes of very smooth well balanced heart notes, again to me more feminine than masculine, it settles into a vague clean smell, like a woman who showered three hours ago but didn't wear perfume. Not a bad smell, but nothing to grab your attention either.
On me, even with liberal application, it's skin-close after 45 minutes, completely imperceptible after about 4 hours. I have not experienced anything at this proce point that performed so poorly.
Even if it performed, to me the scent is so mundane. Is there such a thing as too smooth, too well-balanced? It smells good, but I'm not sure why anyone would wear it. Safe to skip this one.
