Woody, somewhat brittle lavender

A little fruit is also hidden in this old Creed. You just have to search for it a bit longer.

The "Scottish Lavender" comes across - compared to other, actually "classically" titled lavender scents (like "Pour un homme") - quite sparse, wood-heavy, and dull.

It seems to me that generously added amounts of clove and sandalwood are the cause. Although the aromas are somewhat well tailored to each other, a rather commodious, truly brittle wood note overlaps everything, which really doesn't win me over.

Sillage and longevity are - as is often the case with "Creed" - at best mediocre.
After an hour, a still quite clove-heavy wood-lavender potpourri remains on the skin, where the lavender somehow looks old. No, not really my thing.

I've had that on my to-do list for a while. I'm curious, even though you're not giving me much hope.
