Whilst a unique scent doesn't always mean a great scent and with Creed having numerous other clones/inspirations of their offerings, to me Viking brings an emptiness in my collection which I didn't think needs filling.
Yes it is polarizing and yes it is Creed, but I've yet to actually experience something so energetic and light, which doesn't smell simply like citrus or ginger. The best way to describe Viking is as an easy going and adventurous fragrance that makes you feel bold, confident and vibrant.
Whilst the perfomance, sillage, longevity are to be desired, it is something I've come to expect from Creed, for being a house of light fragrances. However that brings me to the point of contention, the price. To me it does feel unique and energising, but there are other fougeres that would give you a similar feeling with better performance for a fraction of the price.
