Who doesn't know it?
I discovered the scent in 2014 through a friend, when he told me about the reactions & compliments from people, I thought he was exaggerating. I had never smelled it before, only knew it from stories, like in fairy tale books. So I made my way to the mall to test it.
Done and done. I first smelled it on the test strip, no wow effect. It was actually a bit boring. I put it directly in my jacket pocket and continued to my appointment. About 2-3 hours later, I noticed that the test strip was still in my jacket pocket and I remembered there was something. Second attempt, I smell the test strip and stop for a moment because I can't quite grasp the scent. I had never smelled something so beautifully balanced before. I must add that it was 2014 and until then I had no knowledge of niche fragrances and only occasionally shopped at Douglas. My thoughts were really going crazy and I'm not exaggerating. It was immediately clear to me, I had to have this scent. Back then, I was still in training, so this scent for 180 euros for 75 ml was extremely expensive for me.
I saved my money for the scent and bought it after a few months.
I really only sprayed it on special days or on dates.
And every time I sprayed it on, there was really no day when I didn't receive a compliment. My friend's stories came to mind and I thought, he really wasn't exaggerating haha.
Well... time passes and since I used this scent so rarely, as it was like a treasure to me, I still had this bottle half full until 2018. It was always enough to use just 3 sprays for the whole day.
In 2018, I then received a bottle as a gift. Lo and behold, the 75 ml version was no longer available! Since I had hardly dealt with the world of perfumes up to that point, there was a big question mark in my
head and I googled it. Eventually, I found out that the 75 ml and 125 ml bottles had been discontinued. From then on, my journey into the world of perfumes began, as I realized that there were differences between batches, etc.
So why did I call the title "Love-Hate"?
For the following reasons:
It has been cloned too often, although not really successfully in my opinion, but enough that almost everyone can walk around with the Aventus DNA, which makes it less special. On the other hand, I love it so much that I can't let it go.
Its longevity and sillage are no longer the same as before. Nevertheless, no dupe comes close to the scent, no CDNIM or anything else, for me these fragrances only have one thing in common with Aventus and that is the pineapple, but nothing more (my opinion).

As for the differences between the batches, it's really a shame...
