My First Signature Scent - Why Aventus is Not a Signature Scent
Dear Parfumos,
Aventus is certainly no longer a hidden gem. I treated myself to this very delicious fragrance, and my surroundings were absolutely enchanted. It’s incredible how many people reacted positively to this scent, even though it is a niche fragrance. It probably lies right between mainstream and niche, which is why it resonates so well with both target groups!
Recently, I heard a lady at Douglas tell a customer that if he really intended to buy Aventus, he should be aware that this fragrance is bought and worn very often. Harsh statement! Fortunately, the man was not deterred and went for his luck.
I asked everyone in my circle, and no one knows Creed or Aventus. If your circle is also categorized in the social middle class, you will definitely stand out positively with this!
Sillage and longevity are not only excellent, they are even not too strong! I have tested fragrances that were significantly stronger in sillage, and that is not always pleasant.
Aventus smells strong enough that everyone can perceive you, but it doesn’t come off as overpowering. Absolutely desirable!
Among fragrance connoisseurs, Aventus is probably as widespread as "Le Male" is among the mainstream. Theoretically, that shouldn't bother me, as the scent is still unknown in my surroundings. Well, I don’t really feel that individual with it. I love Aventus, and I wear it very often. It suits every occasion and adds a masculine touch. Unfortunately, Aventus is not the right choice for my favorite perfume, the fragrance that completely fits me and makes me feel comfortable.
For me, this scent is one of the best perfumes on the market, but not a signature scent.
Lastly, it should also be mentioned that Aventus is an expensive indulgence. I sometimes doubt whether I would rather buy 2-3 other perfumes for the price, but then I would miss Aventus immensely. It is good as it is.

I'm in the lucky position to be able to smell it very well ;) luckily... it's a solid part of my collection, no matter how many dupes flood the market.

I also have a problem with the scent's presence! I tested it on myself twice and could only really pick up the opening; after that, not much else came through. Maybe it would be different if someone else wore it-could be my skin, or maybe my nose is just scent-blind to Aventus. Anyway, it seems like you and your surroundings don’t have that issue. Good for you!

When the number of collected fragrances already exceeds the number of days in a year, the idea of a signature scent becomes irrelevant, especially with regular use of the same ones. Aventus doesn't change that at all. ;) I want to experience my signature scent myself, so Aventus didn't even come close to being a contender, and besides, where would I put all those panties? ;)
