Why it is so difficult to write an objective comment about this fragrance
I have made it my goal to write a comment and a statement for each of my fragrances in my collection. Why? Well, because these fragrances are in my collection for a reason, and I believe they deserve a comment. I have also reached this point, and apart from three fragrances (New West, Gold Man, and Cacharel), my collection will not change much anymore. As someone beautifully wrote in the Landlord's blog: "Boarding completed".
Now, unfortunately, it is a bit difficult to write an objective comment about this fragrance. Because actually, most comments either revolve around "It's way too overrated! It's way too expensive!" or "Wow man, with this fragrance, you'll knock them all out!".
I simply like this fragrance very much. And it is not the pineapple in the top note that defines this fragrance for me. To be honest, I am even glad when it has dissipated a bit. What I find much more interesting is what comes next or what remains. And I can't even really describe what it is exactly. It must be this often-quoted slightly smoky aftershave note, boosted with, in my opinion, a lot of Iso-E-Super, that envelops you after a few hours. Wonderful. I like that. I have a similar feeling with Terre d’Hermès, Bleu de Chanel, or even Eau Sauvage Parfum. A fragrance that is perceived through the sillage and is simply considered wonderful. (Please read the last sentence without any ulterior motives). I find the longevity and sillage to be really very good. Not too much, not too little. Moreover, it really suits every occasion and every season.
Conceptually, it is certainly the forerunner of fragrances like Bleu de Chanel, Sauvage, and the like, and for me, it remains the reference.
I have become a true friend of Creed fragrances through this community. Whether it's this one, GIT as my signature, Bois du Portugal, Original Vetiver. All wonderful compositions. Now, one must also admit that they are indeed very expensive at times, and everyone should weigh for themselves whether they are willing to spend that much money.
With this comment, I wanted to pay tribute to a fragrance outside of its hype or mystical abilities. I simply like it very much, and that's why I wear it.
Best regards

I tested it extensively. It starts off really strong and good. But it fades quickly. After 5-6 hours, it's gone.

The last sentence is the most important: It should be this way and not any other ;-D

@Basti87 take some time to test Aventus, and you'll quickly rethink your statement... Aventus lasts even better than many oriental powerhouses!

Whether you like Sauvage or not, the performance is **miles** better and it costs about a third. Even though longevity isn't everything, that's really disappointing for the price.

I can already see myself selling my bottle again. "Only dead fish swim with the current."
