Speechless - not only in Seattle :P
Hello everyone,
i got a small sample from him x - xx years ago and today I definitely know that I wasn't ready for it, maybe it was a mix of age/maturity and knowledge of certain fragrances.
It's been a very, very, very long time since a fruity (not sweet!) fragrance has impressed me as much as it does. When I say years, I'm easily talking about 10+ years and the fragrances I'm talking about were the vintage Nio and the 1872 for Men
Indirectly, this already indirectly addresses his preferred clientele.... . because the fragrance wants to be worn by those who appreciate quality, those of a certain age and those who have already achieved something in life. It also has something about it that you can never take from the "nice" notes...
He reflects something / has something about him of a very successful man who is NOT interested in the opinion of others about him, because he is (clearly) above them. This power + force that he carries with him is almost a little intimidating.
What do we actually have here?
This fragrance is fruity (not sweet), tart and dry, is also green, has hints of fougere and is very creamy.
What I really appreciate about this fragrance is its certain simplicity.
What exactly do I mean by that?
Many fragrances listed here have xx fragrance notes and are almost over-saturated, but sometimes less really is more. You can tell that the fragrance focuses purely on the (quasi) high quality of the selected perfume oils. The fragrance never disturbs for a second and the fact that hardly anyone knows and has the Crown Imperial is beautiful, but also frightening and sad at the same time...
I don't really know such a potent fruity-green fragrance and I would almost say that the Crown Imperial is one of the strongest in this category (!).
Therefore a little tip, with many fresh - fruity fragrances you can also take a few (!) sprays more at a certain time of year, with the Crown Imperial forget it. 4 sprays max, otherwise you will be greeted by a severe headache = that's how strong it is!
If you know the 1872 for Men and you like it very much, then I recommend you to test it, maybe a bottle will find its way to you, provided you can still find one.
Personally, I'm incredibly happy that I now have it again!
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG Benny

PS
Just by the way = the Crown Imperial and my old No. 1 for Men are already a brute team ;) !
