Aquamarine Cuarzo The Circle

When I was 25 years old, I flew on vacation for the first time, to the sea, to Ibiza and Formentera. Back then, they were the hippie islands, touristically developed, but not as built-up and tailored to mass tourism as they are today.

I had checked into a hotel in San Antonio Abad and was transported there by bus. The hotel was called Palmyra and it was a 4-star establishment. Very clean, bright, everything with stone tiles, spacious rooms, etc. and super friendly staff. It was also where I took my first steps in Spanish. And it was right by the sea. But this sea was dark gray-blue, the harbor of San Antonio.

So, I signed up for the trip to Formentera for the next day. A whole day by boat over, beach walking in Formentera, paella on the beach, and then back to San Antonio by boat.

The next day, in Formentera, I saw the sea for the first time as I had imagined it - kitsch blue! From then on, there was no stopping me! Since then, I love the sea like hardly any other place on our planet.

I thought of that kitsch blue when I sprayed on Aquamarine. It comes marine-fresh, greenish, a bit like peach. Shortly after, it becomes slightly floral and after an hour, I smell - nothing anymore. Even if I pin my nose to my wrist, nothing!

Accordingly, my disappointment was great, because I was particularly looking forward to this scent. The Cuarzo the Circle fragrance line has many highlights - unfortunately, this scent is not one of them, especially when I think of the pricing policy of the Béjar house. Not even the two aquamarines and three diamonds in the bottle can change that.

Would I buy such a scent, for example, for the summer? Sure! For €30!
