Men's Fragrance - oh noooo!
"You smell like a marzipan Easter egg," my colleague said to me.
At that moment, I had Cool Water Night Dive on my skin. The version for boys.
Purchased for a bargain price at XXX, where it was mistakenly labeled as a women's fragrance.
I should have been able to tell from the packaging that it wasn't Cool Girls Water, but I went ahead anyway.
It makes me a bit angry that this fragrance has been so harshly criticized so far. It doesn't deserve that.
It's a bit 90s - I remember well that my then crush wore sweet scents like Relax and Background. Today, men are all about Mugler's Amen - a scent I also prefer to smell on women.
I like Night Dive.
Even though I can't recognize much of what is described in the fragrance pyramid.
The mint in the opening is clearly detectable - but it's a "muted" mint, more like chewing gum - spearmint? The fruits are probably more like dried fruits, Cashmeran, which I usually can smell everywhere, I unfortunately can't detect here at all.
Tobacco, suede? Not in my nose.
What remains on the skin has been wonderfully put into words by my colleague: see quote above.
It leaves a sweet accord of marzipan/amaretto aromas, which at least lasts forever on me, and I find it very pleasant - I could bathe in it.
I better add again:
I am a girl - advanced age and generally not averse to men's fragrances.
I would definitely not recommend this scent to any man.
I don't want to smell it on any guy I should take even remotely seriously.
Tougher girls should definitely give it a try - it's better than the whole brigade of floral-oriented girly scents.
Love, Chrischi

Have you ever smelled it on a man? It definitely smells different on male skin. It's probably aimed more at younger generations and is more of an outgoing casual scent than a subdued office fragrance, and you don't have to like it. But I do find the bitter citrus top note quite masculine.

I agree with you that it's unfairly criticized. However, I don't agree with the statement that it's not suitable for men. I think both men and women can wear it; it really depends on personal style and taste. I find it very good as well.

On my boyfriend, it smells like a sweet, aquatic shoe store. I remember the women's version as a slightly sweaty polyester shirt.
