Since Cool Water Woman has been a loyal companion for years, I ventured into Sea Rose today.
It doesn't have the fresh, cool character of its older sister right away - instead, it starts with a soapy cleanliness.
Violet and peony greet each other florally, and I am reminded of the scent of my grandmother's "Cult" soap, which I unfortunately no longer find in stores today. She always placed a bar of soap in the linen drawer, and upon opening the drawers, the violet-peony mixture would waft out, sprinkled with freesias. The bed linen in which one would then slumber carried this floral-clean scent with it.
A pleasant, unexcited daytime fragrance - for me with "Cult" nostalgic value.
