Hidden Treasure from the Earth
Beetroot is, alongside celery, the most significant root vegetable for me, and of the two, the most feminine. Relationships are, in my opinion, unmistakable. Just consider the juice, which is abundant in it and its color.
Perhaps that's why I have a special relationship with it in various ways:
Beetroot is my favorite color. It doesn't have the drama of blood red, but is cheerier and sunnier, certainly more stimulating and enticing than burgundy. For example, it creates a beautiful contrast with white hair. Even more: it is a color that carries symbolic power.
The same goes for the root that comes from the earth. It has something magical. When I bleed, I crave it, just like the mother of Rapunzel craves rapunzel. The earthy taste balances my being and connects me in a strange way with everything.
I also get this feeling when I smell beetroot. From the bottle, there is no grounding based on childhood experiences, but a more universal one, as if it springs from the collective unconscious. The scent strangely comforts me and calms me.
It is probably the closest thing I have to nature. And it is identical enough that I do not doubt the imitation quality of Demeter. It is an incomparable scent in my fragrance collection.
Even though I want to candidly admit that it still needs cultural development before such a scent can find acceptance as a perfume.

That's really incredible, a scent like this. Apparently polarizing.

Just like everyone knows and loves your comments :-) Beetroot juice cup. I'm eagerly waiting for your comment on a celery scent. ;-)

Hats off to your courage for speaking so openly about taboos like menstruation.
