Cinnamon Bun Demeter Fragrance Library Cologne

If you expect the scent of freshly baked cinnamon rolls at 7:00 AM on your way to work, this is not for you
I had been keeping an eye on the Demeter Fragrance Library for a long time, and their unusual scents piqued my interest. After trying Angel’s Share and other gourmand fragrances, I remembered the ultimate cinnamon scent - the cinnamon roll.
In search of a fragrance that smells just like that, I stumbled upon “Cinnamon Bun.” The name alone made my heart race, and I ordered it immediately. Every day after university, I eagerly opened my mailbox, hoping to finally find the long-awaited package - the perfume bottle I had been searching for my whole life.
But when it finally arrived, the disappointment was great, right from the start. The packaging? A simple white cardboard box with a sticker bearing the name of the perfume. At first, I thought it was a test sample, but no - that was actually the regular packaging.
And the scent? Pure disillusionment. It just smells like cheap cinnamon, maybe a hint of dough. As my friend said: like a cheap cinnamon aroma diffuser. And honestly, that would probably smell better.
Today I went back to my favorite bakery and got my beloved cinnamon roll. The scent reminded me once again that “Cinnamon Bun” was the worst blind buy decision I have ever made.
If you want your room to smell like cheap cinnamon decor, then go for it. But if you’re looking for a perfume that conveys that real “wow effect” of an authentic cinnamon scent, better stay away.
Maybe the other fragrances from this brand are better, but I won’t take the risk. If even this one, which was supposed to be my signature scent, was so disappointing.
