10Scent 5Longevity 5Sillage 2.5Bottle

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,…

It's starting again. After receiving a lot of Demeter samples from a very dear friend, I can begin commenting on these fragrances once more and wish everyone who enjoys reading these comments a lot of fun! Of course, the Demeter comments will alternate with comments on "regular" fragrances, as I really enjoy describing scents and don't want to limit myself to Demeter. It will probably go back to the routine of a Demeter fragrance in the morning or afternoon and something else in the evening.

And now we’re kicking off with a surprisingly wonderful scent: Eggnog, which has not only been well executed but also truly reminds one of Christmas (hence my title).

Scent:
True to Demeter's style, there is no real scent progression; instead, you immediately smell what is stated on the fragrance label: Eggnog. The scent has been so well crafted that you can actually detect the ingredients of an eggnog. I perceive something creamy, combined with a bit of nutmeg, a lot of vanilla, and a significant amount of cinnamon, which may even be a tad too strong. The best part is that all these ingredients smell quite natural.

The longevity is average, lasting about 4-6 hours on the skin.
The sillage is typically Demeter and not the best, projecting little, but it is enough to be noticed.

The bottle … *sigh*
Well, first of all, I must say that I have small samples of all the upcoming Demeter fragrances, not the original bottles. But the bottles can be seen online, so I will describe them as well. And the bottle is just as I have always described them. Unremarkable and nothing special. The sticker is equally trivial. There is still no nice picture on the sticker to be seen,…

This scent is really well made. Not for wearing, but for occasionally sniffing and dreaming. It not only reminds me very well of the drink but also generally of one of my absolute favorite times: Christmas. The whole atmosphere, everything around it… I always look forward to all these things like a little child, and it’s not even about the gifts for me, but as I said, about the atmosphere, like the beautiful lights on the streets, the general mood, the sweets (although the vendors will probably start selling those things as early as August this year…),… and of course, that I will put a little Christmas hat on my cat (like every year :)

Well, even though it’s not a scent for wearing, I give this fragrance 100% for both its execution and for evoking such wonderful feelings in me.
And as always, the rating is not made as a perfume but as a mix of the execution and what kind of scent has been created.
This means that for occasional sniffing, this scent has been quite nicely crafted.

Well, I've worn it for the umpteenth time and I can't see why it shouldn't be a scent to wear?!? 🤓

Hello, thanks for reading. I can't really answer your question anymore since it's been so many years since I last smelled the fragrance :D But sure, why not, if you like it :)

You're making it hard for me, but you're right, Christmas isn't about gifts; I don't really need those. It's all about that cozy feeling, and it seems this scent captures it wonderfully.

Thanks for the informative comment! I'm looking forward to your further descriptions and to seeing what quirky scents from this brand come to light that I didn't know about yet. :) It seems like they never run out of ideas, luckily! :)
