"Yes, I Like Pina Coladas.... (Blind Comment No. 2)
"...And gettin’ caught in the rain
I‘m Not much into Health food
I am into champagne (...)“
These very lyrics from "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" immediately came to mind when I first smelled this fragrance.
Since this review is part of a blind test, I unfortunately still do not know which fragrance it actually is at this point. All I have in front of me is a sample labeled "Number Six" that the lovely First sent me as part of a traveling package. Thank you once again for this wonderful experience.
When I smell "Number Six," I see myself lying on a white sandy beach by the sea under a palm tree, slathered in luxurious sunscreen with a Pina Colada in hand. Somewhere nearby, the aforementioned song is playing from a beach bar. The sun is shining on my face, and I feel relaxed and happy. Vacation vibes from the bottle, so to speak :)
But how do I think this vacation in a bottle, aka Pina Colada, comes together?
- A whole lot of pineapple (especially in the opening)
- A splash of rum
- Coconut cream
- Whipped cream
- A pinch of good mood & sunshine
Maybe I'm completely off with my comment - who knows. However, thanks to this experiment, I have found a wonderful, great summer fragrance for myself :)!
For some, the scent might be a bit too sweet for hot days despite the summery components - but for everyone else, I can recommend it without reservation. The longevity and sillage are good to very good and definitely hold up on a vacation day :)
Even though the fragrance leans more towards the feminine side, I can also imagine it as a unisex scent under certain circumstances - after all, Pina Colada is for everyone ;)!

This scent totally confused me with its extreme versatility depending on what I assume is humidity and temperature during the first tests: it was different every time.

So my nose isn't deceiving me. It's very multifaceted and constantly changes its character.
