Eau Sauvage Extrême Dior 1982 Eau de Toilette Concentrée

After the irritation with the "Eau Sauvage" perfume, which is darkly bitter and medicinal and has very little in common with "Eau Sauvage," I immediately found myself on the "right" wild water trail with the "Extrême" version.

The name is truly fitting; this is a high-speed offshoot of the classic that smells more voluminous, intense, and distinctive.

80% of it is based on the original DNA, while the remaining 20% enriches or alters the original scent towards a stronger Chypre emphasis in the form of more lavender-leather-moss-wood nuances.

Overall, the fragrance, especially from the heart/base, moves significantly closer to Chanel's "Pour Monsieur."

All components seem to be used in higher concentrations than in the original "Eau Sauvage," and the sillage as well as the longevity are optimized.

All in all, a flawless variant of the classic that, for me, would be more of a purchase incentive than the (now somewhat softened by reformulation) original fragrance. Additionally, I really like the connection to "Pour Monsieur."
