a quiet soap fart, or je n'adore pas
I don't love this scent, but I don't hate it either. My partner's comment when I held my wrist under his nose sums it up quite well: "Smells like our bathroom. Hmm, not bad or anything. But also not good." ¯_(ツ)_/¯
As much as I like other Dior fragrances, I am disappointed with this lukewarm soap water. Unfortunately, the scent has the recognizability of a deodorant or any shower stall in any city: it smells universal and unremarkable. A little floral, a little soapy, a little sweet. A scent that could certainly suit many people, but also an everyday scent that no one turns their head for.
That doesn't have to be a bad thing; you certainly won't disturb anyone with it, as J'adore is not intrusive at all. It just doesn't do it for me, and I can't understand all the good reviews. Luckily, tastes differ!

That's pretty much how the scent affects me too. I like it, but it's way too expensive for its interchangeability, so I opted for a nearly identical fragrance from La Rive.

You got lucky: I can't stand J'adore at all. I've tried it often, but it never worked for me: the top note is fine, but after that, I smell like a deodorant from the '70s :)
