I own both this one and the J'adore Parfum d'Eau by mistake. When I started my journey into fragrances, I wasn't aware of flankers, so when I tried the J'adore Parfum d'Eau as a sampler that came with a Sephora purchase, I fell in love. I spotted a 50ml bottle of J'adore Eau de Parfum at a fragrance discount shop only to realize later the mistake I had made. Nonetheless, I have both in my collection which has allowed me to compare the OG to its flanker.
There's a sting of alcohol that rapidly dissipates, leaving behind this amazing fresh, floral and fruity scent. It's heavenly beautiful, put-together and mature. There's nothing synthetic in here, only bright and captivating notes. It's a timeless classic for a reason. Ylang-ylang impart this delicate, creamy accord while damask rose offer a fruity sweetness. Both jasmine flowers are beautiful and milky, not indolic or powdery. The perfume is silky smooth, velevety and pure in a divine way. It clearly leans feminine to me because of the florals. If you're in search of a perfume that respects floral compositions, this one is it. There's a certain depth to it as the flowers unfurl their petals and their odors. I do associate this one with a more mature crowd (I picture a woman in her mid thirties to fifties wearing this), but don't let my impressions stop you from wearing it whatever your age is!
