pretty bold for the coward
There are really very few fragrances that evoke a wow effect in me. I like many, and I really like quite a few. However, this one is among those that I can’t get enough of, and I often catch myself sniffing at my own skin. This mainly happens with fragrances that are either more gourmand or have a certain depth and a "dark" side (Dior Homme Intense, to name one).
Balade Sauvage is bright, fresh, slightly sweet, authentic. A perfect fragrance for spring & summer. But anyone who thinks that this is just another one of those bergamot monsters that smells like 100 others of its kind is mistaken. Either I’ve found a new fragrance note for myself that has quickly made its way into my favorites, or Dior is one of the few that has created an extremely pleasant fig scent.
It is exactly this that makes it so unique for me and makes it smell like no other.
It simply strikes me as enchanting and addictive.
I only got wind of Balade Sauvage when I picked up my long-desired Ambre Nuit, and a small 7.5ml miniature was included. Without any great expectations, I wore it a few times, until I received quite a few compliments in a short time. I began to love it more and more, and after 2 weeks it was clear - I have to have it!
Balade Sauvage contributes significantly to my gradual departure from darker & sweeter fragrances and my search for freshness & lightness.
It can be worn perfectly casually but is also well-suited for serious & upscale occasions.
Longevity & sillage are completely fine and good average for a fresh fragrance.
The fragrance note itself is a solid 10 for me - an absolute favorite in my collection!
I’m surprised that it’s not really "known" or hyped like so many others; it deserves more recognition than some others.

During the first test, I thought: I know this scent note already! But where from? Then I saw that the fragrance was released only 2-3 years ago. Anyway, great creation. I still can't say why this note felt familiar to me.

There's always something to discover :) The fig as a fragrance idea really took off in the nineties with Diptyque and L'Artisan Parfumeur.

Indeed: it deserves more attention.
