Dior Homme Original Dior 2011 Eau de Toilette

I took the opportunity for us Europeans and ordered a bottle directly from Dior. By the way: I will only order directly from Dior in the future, the packaging and presentation are just a wonderful, additional experience, they really put in a lot of effort, and I gladly indulge in that from now on, Dior has convinced me with this strategy.
Since I already owned Intense, I had an idea of what to expect. I rarely wear Intense because it is actually too strong for me, hard to believe, but I feel that way with some fragrances (others can’t be strong enough for me). The strength of the EDT (at least the current version) is clearly in the drydown for me. Projection is only about 20-30 cm away from the source after a relatively short time, but what you can perceive for hours is simply a dream. Leather is very prominent at first, which I personally do not like that much, so I am glad that it is still present in the rest of the fragrance development, but only very subtly and as a delicate hint. In combination with iris, cardamom, and vetiver, it is indeed one of the best men’s fragrances of all time when it comes to the drydown. I admit that it took me a while to fully "understand" it, but I am really glad to own this icon now. I will probably wear it rarely just because we all don’t know if and when Dior will finally stop production. Personally, I am very sure that this will happen soon, they gave the enthusiasts (a great move by Dior) one more chance to stock up and will then only focus on the present, which I actually prefer, I love the new Homme and even more the new Homme Sport, an incredible fragrance for me, a bullseye, my new signature.
