Dior Homme Parfum Dior 2014

The beautiful leather-iris combination in this masterpiece of perfumery is simply breathtaking and gives this flanker a slightly masculine attitude compared to Dior Homme Intense, which is rather unisex for some.
In the development of the fragrance, the iris note initially plays the main role and is then replaced in the drydown by the very prominent leather note as well as the woody notes, but it always remains present.
This is what makes Dior Homme Parfum special for me: the noble interplay of a rather feminine iris note and a more masculine leather note, like fire and water, like yin and yang.

You don't need to say much about the performance: definition of beast mode, it stays on the skin easily for +12 hours or until the next shower, on clothing it lasts several weeks, no joke.
The sillage is enormous, especially in the first hours, and then becomes a bit softer; however, it is one of the few fragrances that doesn't just sit close to the skin but now and then gives you the feeling that you've just sprayed it on.
So be careful with the dosage, 2-3 sprays are more than enough to not get rid of it quickly.

Versatility: Clearly an autumn/winter fragrance, but also almost always wearable, at work, as a casual scent, for going out, during the day, at night, just please not at the gym =)

Compliments: For those who care: yes, they exist, but of course, this is not typical designer DNA and therefore not necessarily as frequent as other fragrances.

And this combination of a unique fragrance DNA with a performance that makes even most niche brands look old makes Dior Homme Parfum the absolute best designer fragrance there is for me.
