I still remember the original Dune I wore back in the early ’90s, though only in winter. It had much more woodiness, already noticeable in the top notes-especially sandalwood. It was also much more intense overall.
I bought the original Eau de Parfum as soon as it came out. I struggled to finish the bottle because it was far too heavy and floral for me. I’d basically fallen for the top-note illusion. I only liked the base. Now I’m even more curious about the new one.
The original version smelled great on a colleague.
On me, it was a little generic.
